These terms cover this website. They do not govern the OpenRegs software or the corpus — those are governed by their own licences, and nothing here narrows the rights those licences grant you.

The sections below record what these terms will cover. They have not been drafted or reviewed by counsel and are not enforceable as they stand. Do not rely on them, and do not treat the absence of a clause as a waiver.
1. What this site is
An informational website about the OpenRegs project. Access is free and requires no account. Nothing on it is an offer capable of acceptance, and no service is being sold here today.
2. Not legal advice
The project's canonical disclaimer applies to everything described on this site and is incorporated into these terms. Using OpenRegs, its releases, its API or its MCP tools creates no lawyer-client relationship and no duty of care.
3. Licences that actually govern the project
- Engine code: Apache-2.0.
- Corpus data: CC BY 4.0.
- This website's own content, design and code: all rights reserved, except where a page says otherwise.
4. Acceptable use
To be drafted: prohibited use, rate limits on any future interactive endpoint, and the consequences of abuse.
5. Trademarks
The OpenRegs name and mark are covered by the trademark policy, which is itself pending. An open-source licence grants rights in code, not in a name.
6. Warranties and liability
To be drafted, and to be read against the disclaimers already given in the Apache-2.0 licence and in the project disclaimer.
7. Governing law and changes
To be drafted. Governing law follows the operating entity, which is the same pending decision recorded on the imprint.
